Our Nursery

new staff

A warm, caring environment for pre-school children from the term after they turn two years old
until the time they reach school age.

We are a well established nursery, which has been operating in the community for over 20 years.
We offer a safe secure environment for up to 26 children per session.

Inside we have a large, light space providing lots of opportunities for various activities,
both staff and child-lead.
Outside, a large garden area where we sow seeds, play in sand & water and enjoy our mud kitchen!

Our experienced, qualified and friendly staff help the children grow and develop their confidence and independence.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and accept government funding where eligible.
We offer extra sessions (fee paying) as and when required (subject to availability).

Come along and see the fun we have by booking a free stay and play visit!

Our Ethos

The nursery school follows the Early Years Foundation Stage document. We very much believe in a play based approach to learning. At nursery children learn through making connections through their play and social experiences into the world around them, at the same time, being supported by experienced and caring staff.

Each child’s key person is on hand to support them at nursery and to plan additional experiences that support their development and progress. We know that parents know their children best and we work to establish good relationships with all our families. Each child has a ‘Learning Journal’ which documents the child’s journey over their time at nursery and is shared between nursery and home.

We have very good links with our local primary schools and children receive a supported transition when the time comes for them to move on to school.
