First half Spring Term week 5 we are covering the topic of ‘People who help us in the community’ we would really like to reach out to anyone who would like to come and share their profession with the children; this could be – a vet, doctor, nurse/midwife, fireperson, shopkeeper, police officer of course the list is endless. This would be an amazing experience for the children and off course you would be supported by all the wonderful staff. If you are interested please come and speak to any member of staff.
Second half of Spring Term week 2 coincides with World Book Day we would like of offer a “Stay and Share” session each day. This is open to parents/carers from 9:30 – 10:30 each morning.
You could either bring a story from home or use one of our books to share with your child.
Please sign up on the sheet on the large table inside nursery.
Pick up times
Recently we have been having some parents asking to pick their child up before the session finishes. Although we try to be as accommodating as possible, we would ask parents to be mindful of how upsetting this can be for the other children. In this instance we would kindly ask for parents collecting early to either arrive at 12 o’clock before the end of the morning session or 3 o’clock before the end of the afternoon session.
Please could you notify staff of any changes to contact details on your child’s registration forms. This could be a change of address, phone number, people with permission to collect etc.
Please could you keep older siblings out of the foyer in the afternoons at collection times. It is lovely to see them all, but it is more important to us to see your child out safely.
Also, could we please remind all parents/carers to leave cars parked over near the trees and not outside the pickup area; unless this is a medical emergency.
Thank you for your co-operation at this time of day.
Finally, if you have any queries please come and speak to your child’s key person, Christine or Sue and we will do all we can to help.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year from the nursery team:
Christine, Sue, Penny, Kirsty and Michelle and Cathy.
